WVD news of the week

Welcome to my next blogpost with all the latest news from WVD. As usual I gathered all trhe wvd news from this week.

1: An article was released about Multiple AD forests architecture with Windows Virtual Desktop. A Must read about this topic.


2: New connection gateway’s where added to reduce latency in the following regions giving a better experience for the end users

  • United Kingdom
  • France
  • Norway
  • South Korea


3: Windows Virtual Desktop is now available in the Azure Government cloud (in preview)


4: New Azure VMs for general purpose and memory intensive workloads now available.

The new D v4 and E v4 series Azure Virtual Machines, now generally available, are based on the Intel Xeon Platinum 8272CL custom processor, which can achieve up to 3.4Ghz all core turbo frequency. 


5: The Azure APAC Partner Resource Portal for WVD was launched.
