Hello and welcome to another avd news of the week, the 4th of september 2022. As usual I gathered the latest news from Microsoft and the community so let’s get started.

The challenge of having the correct language in the Edge browser with Azure Virtual Desktop in West Europe

New AVD client version

Microsoft released a new version of the AVD remote client. This time it’s an update for all users. Again alot of features like Updated connection information dialog to distinguish between Websocket (renamed from TCP), RDP Shortpath for managed networks, and RDP Shortpath for public networks.

Azure Virtual Desktop: Logging session host state to Log Analytics to show state and sessions over time

Another post from Marcel. This time he shows us how we can monitor the state of the AVD session hosts using the Log Analytics Workspace and a Function App.
